'Blue Sky, Clean Earth' to go to Bulgaria

Iranian short film 'Blue Sky, Clean Earth' has been selected to compete at the 14th edition of the Early Bird Film Festival in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.

Directed by Mahyar Mandegar, 'Blue Sky, Clean Earth' tells the story of Masoud, a small time thief who is charged with terrorism.

The short won best film under 15 minutes and best cinematography from Image of the Year film festival in Iran. It also grabbed best original score from Nahal Short Film Festival in Iran.

'Blue Sky, Clean Earth' is also set to go on screen in some global film events, including the 17th Beijing College Student Film Festival in China and the 2018 edition of the Contact – International Student Film Festival in Turkey.

A selection of 117 films from 80 countries will be competing in the Early Bird Film Festival this year.
